… I want to thank you for an amazing year full of new experiences! I was glad to make my EVS in this wonderful country. Thanks to you I have met amazing people, that became friends and I don´t want to miss them in my life. (hihi <3)
Because of you I travelled a lot and saw many new places, I did not even knew that they were here. :D
Dear Estonia - because of you I had the most amazing year! During my 11 months I have got to know so many people - because of my new work, because of travelling…
July was a great “finish” for that a fantastic year.
End of June and I have just one month left in Estonia. :O
But before getting depressed about that I will talk about my June, as some really cool things happened in June, beginning from the Child Protection Day, the Art-week and finally the “Jaanipäev” (Mid-Summer Day), which I spent in Tartu (as I helped there as a volunteer at the “Gaudeamus”-festival).
To start from the beginning - June began as May ended - making a trip with all the youngsters - this time we went to Tartu.
Together with them I was in the cinema (first time in a long long time since I sat in a real cinema :D) and later in “game hall” with lot of trampolines and different kind of games.
A lot … but really a lot of things happened in May … so much, I don’t even know where to start. Probably on what I mostly focused and also was really excited about was the trip to Russia. Starting with applying for the visa in Tallinn, then waiting and waiting – after a bit less than a month getting the visa. During that waiting time we booked busses, checked what we can and want see in St. Petersburg and Moscow and then after all this the real adventure began.
But let’s start with the beginning, as not with Russia, but with another travel my May began.
I travelled to Vilnius! So finally I can say, that I have been to all three Baltic states :D
April passed very fast, as a lot of things happened. Next to travels within Estonia and outside of it there were also events in the youth center. Also my last handicraft-club took place and I went to a dance-evening in Hargla with other volunteers, what was very funny. :D
But April began with a travel near to the Russian boarder – to the city called Narva.
Even though in March was the beginning of spring, Estonia somehow missed this date, as it was snowing on that day. :D
Nonetheless we could finally see some sun and things look good, that spring will also arrive in Estonia. :D But to not only talk about the weather… My march was also really cool, as I could do again some ceramics and Tania and I realized the “Tankla meeting” (our initiative project), which we were planning already for a long time.
End of February – so I have most of the time I am here already behind me. :O
I have to admit, that it is a weird feeling. I can remember the first days here so good on the one hand, but on the other those days already seem so far away. Looking back, what I did since then and how I got used to my new surroundings.
I am now used to living alone, managing my day and cook for myself. I also found my place in the Youth Center and keep doing my club. Also I could see already something of Estonia and met other volunteers. :D But still, I have so many plans, what I want to do in the Youth Center and which travels I would like to do…
But let’s talk about February :D
My 2018 started in Tallinn, as I celebrated there New Year with other volunteers, that are already friends, a great firework, lot of dancing and an amazing snowball fight. :D
It seems so “unreal”, that it is already a new year, as my 2017 went by so fast. I graduated from school, had a great summer and came here to Estonia – a decision, about which I am really happy. :D Even weirder to think how many new things will happen in 2018. I am still in Estonia and have already plans, what I will do in the youth center, where I want to travel and what events I will do or visit. And sadly my time here will end and I will start to study something (whatever it will be :D ) in a university. But let´s focus on the time, which I still have here in Estonia. <3
